Parkland Golf

Nestled in the Parkville parklands behind the Melbourne Zoo, our tight and challenging 9 hole course has something for everyone.  With some shorter par 3’s, a couple of par 4 greens drivable from the tee and some very tight longer holes, our course challenges golfers of all levels.

Course Tour

Hole 1/10 | 165 metres | Par 3

Start straight

A great par 3 to start your round.  Shoot straight and you’re on the green, but don’t go long, left or right.

Hole 2/11 | 295 metres | Par 4

Train on the right, rough on the left

A straight par 4, with a good chance for birdie if your tee shot is straight and long.  Go right and you’re in heavy rough and potentially onto the train track.  Left and you leave yourself a tricky second shot to the green over trees.

Hole 3/12 | 220 metres | Par 4

One for the big hitters

Big hitters can take on the green from the tee, over the trees on the left.  Otherwise lay up to the corner, followed by a chip to the green for a shot at birdie.

Hole 4/13 | 156 metres | Par 3

Nearest to the pin opportunity

A nice par 3 protected by a bunker on the left and rough at the back.

Hole 5/14 | 382 metres | Par 4 (par 5 for social golfers)

Garden bed on the left

A long par 4 which will challenge most club golfers to make the slightly elevated green in two.  Avoid the garden bed on the left and trees on the right.

Hole 6/15 | 149 metres | Par 3

Don’t go left

Another good birdie opportunity with a straight tee shot.  Avoid left with garden beds and tram tracks if you’re really off target!

Hole 7/16 | 294 metres | Par 4

Over the horizon

A very picturesque hole with the green nestled in a valley just under 300m in front of you.  Right is a problem with heavy rough and tram tracks (out of bounds if you land over the first rail).  Left can be tricky with many trees to navigate coming back to the green.

Hole 8/17 | 353 metres | Par 4

Tunnel of terror

Another one for the big hitters but keep it straight, or trouble awaits.  Head for the overhanging tree on the left and the course slope will help take your ball well past the 150m mark.  Left and you’re in heavy rough and trees.  Right and you’re likely to take the screen or heavy rough and trees.

Hole 9/18 | 267 metres | Par 4

Concealed bunkers

Another photo worthy hole, with the big hitters able to take on the green.  But beware of the two concealed bunkers at a good driving length and the two trees that always seem to be in front of your second shot.
