Three great reasons to join our golf club: 1. We welcome golfers of all ages and abilities. 2. We offer great value! Annual membership starting at $10 for juniors and $140 for adults. 3. We are located beside the Melbourne Zoo in Parkville, close to public transport.
At Royal Park Golf Club, we acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which our golf course is located, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging and welcome all aboriginal and Torres Strait islanders to our club.
Our Club
Our Club is found on Old Poplar Road Parkville, adjacent to the Melbourne Zoo, easily accessible by road off Royal Parade, by Trams Number 19 and 58 or by train (Royal Park Station) on the Upfield Line. Playing a shot to the sounds of the roaring lions is a frequent experience.
Royal Park Golf Course is an accessible nine-hole golfing facility with well-maintained fairways, a practice putting green, chipping practice area, and hitting bays. Close to trams, trains and buses, our club is easy to get to and easy to get on to play. Booking a round of golf can be easily done on line (royalparkgolfcourse.ymca.org.au) or by calling +61393871326. Light refreshments and equipment are available from the Club Shop.

Nestled in the Parkville parklands behind the Melbourne Zoo, our tight and challenging 9 hole course has something for everyone. With some shorter par 3’s, a couple of par 4 greens drivable from the tee and some very tight longer holes, our course challenges golfers of all levels.
There are few golf clubs that offer the support, care and sheer pleasure for its members we do! This is evidenced by the number of members who may also be a member of another club that travel significant distances to play at our club every weekend.
There’s been a bit on in the last week. This past Sunday we wrapped up the club championships. Bruce Sutherland and Sam Hanna put on a golfing clinic with the Ladies of the Carlton Football Club and Thursday evening golf continues to grow in popularity.
Winner on the day was Ethan Mann with a nett 61 🎃🎃. Thanks to all those for manning the bbq afterwards as well. This weekend is 2-person Ambrose random draw so get them names down. November 10th will be diversity day with a shotgun start. We will be inviting the Ladies and the Vets. It’s also pick a partner/bring a friend day as well. Hope everyone has a great week.
